2022 Highlights + Travel OOTDs
As what the trending new year TikTok audio says, I thank you for the happiest year of my life. Well, I consider each year as the happiest depending on different factors. The year 2022 is a joyous one in terms of leisure and travel. It’s the year I got to travel the most and the farthest. It seems that we really missed traveling during the pandemic so, when there’s no more restrictions, nothing else could stop us from going and discovering places. I’m glad that our savings and earnings for the year allowed us to enjoy this much. It was a blessed year indeed.
Here’s a recap of my 2022 travel adventures. I would also like to take this opportunity to journal my OOTDs for the whole year!

Crosswinds is our usual side trip destination when we’re going to Manila since 2021. In fact, I already included Napa at Crosswinds in my last year’s Highlights + Travel OOTDs. However, restaurant visitors are only allowed to enter the portion where the cafes are. The residential area are inaccessible so before, we always wonder what’s beyond that point. Last March, we had the chance to go inside when we checked in Crosswinds Resort Suites. With all the cottage-looking structures and pine trees, it was like we felt a taste of Switzerland.
To get comfortable in this chilly weather, I grabbed my pair of Chibi Maruko Chan pocket tee and navy green jagger pants from Uniqlo.
Noni’s Resort, Alitagtag, Batangas
Glamping or glamorous camping is the kind of staycation nowadays. I must that Noni’s Resort is one of the perfect spots to do glamping as it features air-conditioned tiny cabin with mini private plunge pool, private fire pit and the view of Taal Lake. I’m so happy I got to spend my alone time with my fiancé here at Noni’s Resort.
We only drove to Noni’s Resort through a maxi-scooter so we capped our stuff to essentials only and decided to buy more clothing at SM Batangas. I found this cream button-down blouse from Regatta and instantly knew that it’ll fit my camping OOTD. The denim short was an old piece of mine from Fubu. I completed the lazy look with a Havaians flip flops and a Korean turban that I bought from Shopee. The store’s name is YMNY.PH Shop.
Aureo Resort, San Fernando, La Union
We spent our summer getaway at the Surfing Capital of the North. However, we only visited Urbiztondo Beach, the primary spot for surfers, at San Juan for one day only. We spent most of our La Union trip at our hotel, Aureo Resort, in the city to avoid the big crowd. After all, the hotel is already an attraction on its own.
A beach like this on a summer day calls for swimsuits. The swimwears in Shein are totally nice. I bought a lot and brought this white lace-up one piece swimsuit. The denim shorts are from a store in a bazaar while the pair of shades is Calvin Klein’s.
Cental Park Reef, Subic, Olongapo
TikTok recommendations brought our family to Central Park Reef when we’re having our trip in Subic. The Central Park Reef is famous online because of its unique architectural design, especially of the swimming pool. It has big pillars, which is unusual for a pool. But that makes it lavish.
This halter romper from Shein is my comfy OOTD for this aesthetic resort. It’s easy to pack since a top and bottom in one but it takes time to pee. Just kidding!
Crusoe Cabins, Calatagan, Batangas
Beach and cabin are two of my favorite things to have in my dream vacay. That’s why I easily fell in love with Crusoe Cabins featuring the white beach of Calatagan and dainty wooden huts at the beachfront. Aquaria Waterpark is also inside its compound so we never ran out of activities to do.
I grabbed this body-hugging dress from my mom’s closet. The color blended with the wooden hues of the place. It’s probably from a thrift shop. The pair of sandals is from Grendha.
Joe Drive, Bacoor, Cavite
We’re back to road tripping and bike riding again! Through this motorcycle, we went from Mindoro to Manila to Laguna and took a coffee break at Joe Drive. My boyfriend said that Joe Drive is a usual get-together spot for big bike riders. As a coffee lover, I could say no.
Of course, we have to be protected from head to toe here. I got my white LS2 helmet, black and white Richa riding jacket and black Forma riding boots at Motoworld. The black high-waist pants is from H&M. You could not see it but I was wearing pink long-sleeved blouse that I bought in Greenhills.
Isora Resort, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro
This year, I became a bridesmaid for my friends’ wedding. The wedding took place at Isora Resort, a boutique hotel with pool and exclusive beach at Puerto Galera. With its modern architecture, the resort is indeed sophisticated. One could easily understand why my friends chose this place as their venue.
We were given yards of bronze silk fabric to design our own gown and have them tailored. Cocoy’s Fashion Boutique, a Pinamalayan-grown dressmaker. My gown took inspiration from Gabbi Garcia’s bridesmaid look at Joe and Bianca Vargas’ wedding.
Coron Island, Coron, Palawan
Finally, I kayaked at the water of Coron! It was a long-time dream to visit the world-renowned lakes of Coron and this year, it was granted. Surrounded by turquoise clear water and majestic karst cliff, it definitely felt magical when I was in Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake and Twin Lagoon.
Your girl is now obsessed with Shein so don’t be surprised when I say that both my ribbed knit top and white high-waist denim pants are from the said online clothing shop.
Uma Pakel, Gianyar, Bali
The 2022 is the year when I had my first out-of-the-country travel after 15 years! My friends and I chose a country with uncomplicated requirements so we ended up in the island of Bali, which is a dream-like place. You can’t say that you’ve been to Bali if you haven’t experience the giant Bali swings. Therefore, on our first day, we headed immediately to Uma Pakel, an agro-tourism spot with the view of Tegallalang Rice Terraces.
If you want to get that Instagram-worthy Bali Swing shot, you must wear a flowy maxi-dress with slit in front so it’ll move gracefully as you sway. I had this floral dress from Shein and I must say that it did its part well while I’m on the swing.
Pura Ulun Danu Beratan, Tabanan, Bali
We didn’t spend much on visiting Bali temples to maximize our time in the island. But it’s our group’s request to include Pura Ulun Danu Beratan in the itinerary because the temple here is exceptional. The main attraction is this particular structure, standing beautifully in the middle of Lake Beretan, the second largest lake in Bali. It’s a sight that want to imprint on my Instagram feed.
I have secret fascination on jumpsuits so I didn’t think twice in wearing this navy blue palazzo jumpsuit from Shein. Look at the details! The fake flap pocket, the buckle and the buttons made it chic and adorable. The sling bag is unbranded. It’s a gift from an aunt. The pair of sunglasses is from Sunnies Studios.
Rumah Pohon, Klungkung, Bali
Nusa Penida is a separate island in Indonesia. It has a spectacular natural landscape that is different from the main island. The place that I looked forward in Nusa Penida is Rumah Pohon, the famous tree house in Bali. From the photo alone, you’ll instantly understand why it’s all over Instagram and why I badly wanted my own version. Rumah Pohon features the beauty of nature at its best. I can’t believe that this view is real because the setting totally looks enchanting.
To get here, guests have to hike a 15-minute steep trek. Therefore, I equipped something comfortable yet fashionable. This pair of slippers from Crocs seems safe. Both my button-down crop top and high-waist denim shorts are from a store in bazaar. Moreover, I only brought the Sunnies shades abroad.
