If ever a Family Feud contestant was asked to name a Philippine snack food company, Rebisco will surely be in the list. We know Rebisco too well because we grew up with it. It’s a brand that is close to every Filipino’s heart. During our early school days, we would see Rebisco biscuits in our lunch box prepared by our mothers. During dismissal, we would go to the nearest store and buy Rebisco chips and chocolates. Until now, we would love to have the Rebisco cakes and pastries during break. For 55 years, the sweetness of Rebisco flavors has been part of the happiness of many generations. So I would love to share some of the best products they have.

I just discovered that Rebisco has a number of subsidiaries for every types of food products. The Republic Biscuit Corporation is for the biscuits. Multirich Food Corporation specializes chocolates, wafers and gelatins. Suncrest Foods Incorporated  are the prime maker of their baked products like cakes and breads. For the nuts and seeds, JBC Food Corporation are the manufacturers. The SPI Multimix Corporation and the Pinnacle Foods Incorporated are for the candies and gums and chips and curls respectively.

I’m not a fan of sesame seeds but I never thought that the biscuit with this seed as a main ingredient will be one of my fave. It’s my ultimate favorite snack from childhood until now along with Hansel. It has this unique taste that no other biscuit can copy. Well, I’m more of a crispy and crunchy cookie girl but I appreciate this one, especially that it has satisfying flavor of chocolate in the cookie itself and white chocolate chips. I just thought that the bread part is kinda dry maybe because it is meant to keep.

Fudgee Barr is another favorite snack of mine. I keep saying that this and that are my favorites but I’m not lying when i say it. When I buy this cake bar in the canteen, I always look forward to its moist top and gooey chocolate filling, which, i guess, Fudgee Barr is known for. Now that I grew up, I realized that the cake is kinda dry, though.

Superstix

When it comes to wafer sticks, it’s always a battle between Superstix and Stick-o. Superstix has better and more attractive packaging, has longer wafer sticks and has more playful appearance. But still, the judgment all comes down to taste. And I’m sorry to say that Stick-O is more flavorful than Superstix. Superstix lacks the chocolate flavor.

Krimstix

Everyone would agree when I say that Krimstix isn’t just delicious. It’s also fun to eat. I can munch it directly from the sachet, top my biscuits and cakes with it or spread it to sandwiches. I could still remember when I was in high school. We write our messages and customize our cakes using Krimstix. It’s already part of our childhood.

Chuco Mucho

When we say Choco Mucho, we can already picture out layers and layers of goodness. It’s a crunchy wafer roll, crackling cereal crispies, rich caramel and velvety milk chocolate in one bar! That sounds irresistible, right? You can usually buy it in small packs but I think this big bar of Choco Mucho is the one for my appetite.

Dragon Sid

I’m not really a fan of Dragon Sid. Actually, I can’t remember the last time I bought or ate a pack. But despite of that, I could remember how it tastes like. The seeds are well salted and were toasted until crispy. I just think that they are too small compared to the local and unbranded squash seeds.

Funky

Rebisco has chips, too! But I have to be honest. Among the list of their chips, I’m only familiar with Funky. It just stood out among the others because this fries-inspired crackers is simply enticing. It really got the flavors of a potato. I must say that it’s a fries transformed into crackers and that’s amazing.

Creamline

Believe me when I say that I have tasted every ice cream Creamline has. It’s a common thing for retailers. And I am not biased when I say that these ice creams are delightful. The best one for me is the the Gold Bar, which is a Belgian chocolate ice cream filled with brownie fudge and covered with chocolate shell. However, their ice creams melt easily.
