How I Make Singaporean Cereal Prawns
If you are ever in Singapore, Cereal Prawn is one of the must-order dishes. Both kids and adults love this because of the crispy and fragrant combo of savory and sweet.
When I recreated this Singaporean prawn dish the first time, I felt in love instantly. There’s some kind of texture and flavors to this dish that is so addicting. I can’t believe that the butter notes of toasted cereal complemented the briny sweet shrimp. I told myself that this should be in my blog.
The original recipe follows the dish that has curry leaves and chillies. We know that Singapore all things spicy but some Filipinos, like the people in our house, doesn’t like to add a touch of heat to our food. Therefore, you’ll see curry leaves and chillies on the recipe I’ve written but not on the actual food in the photos.
