How I Make Chocolate Milk Ice Cream Soda
One American drink that will make us, Asian people, have questioning eyes is Egg Cream. Despite of the name, it contains neither an egg nor a cream. It’s a drink that mixes chocolate syrup, milk and soda water. Sadly, the drink is now going to the memory lane. At the height of their popularity in the early 1900s, thousands of egg creams were sold every day. It’s good that I still learned about Egg Cream through “New York City” episode of Netflix’s “Somebody Feed Phil“.
Thinking deeply about it, the fusion is actually similar to ice cream float, a drink that is already introduced to us by fast food chains like McDonald’s and Jollibee. To make this drink more familiar to our palate, I added a scoop of ice cream and kinda tweak it to a Chocolate Milk Ice Cream Soda.
1. Prepare all the ingredients needed.
- 3 tbsp chocolate syrup
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup soda water
- 1 scoop ice cream
2. Stir chocolate syrup in milk.
3. Pour the soda water.
4. Froth the drink until the amount doubles.
5. Add a scoop of ice cream.
6. Your Egg Cream is now done and ready to be served.
