2017 Highlights + Travel OOTDs
The year 2017 has been a busy year for me but this is because of the unending opportunities that are unexpectedly coming. It is my last year in college and your girl is still surviving. I started to look for means to earn so I have a part-time job as an emergency dispatcher every weekend and small food cart business in our province.
Since I’m still in college, I don’t have plenty of time and I only have limited budget to travel to far places. Despite of this, I’m thankful that I got to visit some destinations for quick getaways.
Here’s a recap of my 2017 travel adventures. I would also like to take this opportunity to journal my OOTDs for the whole year!
Hot Air Balloon Festival, Clark, Pampanga
Last year’s hot air balloon festival in Pampanga was a blast! I heard that it was magical and fun. Well, thinking about it, relaxing under big colorful balloons is really a one-of-a-kind experience, especially here in the Philippines where hot air balloons are so rare. In fact, it only happens during Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta every February. Therefore, this year, we didn’t miss the festival at Clark, Pampanga.
My boyfriend chose this button-down shirt outerwear from Cotton On for ne. I paired it with a black halter innerwear that a friend gave me, a pair of denim short from BNY Jeans and doll shoes from MNJ.
Wingstop, Glorrieta 2, Makati City
Wingstop, alongside Frankie’s, has been out favorite wing house. If we couldn’t think of where to eat, you’ll easily find us at Wingstop. All the way from Texas, Wingstop brings us what we crave. They have a lot of wing flavors to choose from. They are lined up from the least spicy to the spiciest. Customers can have their wings classic or batter-fried. No matter what you prefer, they’re both delish.
My outfit was just my usual get-up. The red sleeveless blouse from Greenhills and white shorts from Old Navy were old pieces of mine.
Honey Beach Resort, Lobo, Batangas
I’m a part-time worker and it was my first official job. Hence, it was also my first time to join a teambuilding activity as an employee. The company opted for budget yet private resort so we ended up staying at Honey Beach Resort.
When there’s a beach, there’s an outfit for it so I brought my pair of Wakiki rash guard. I like the design of colorful butterflies printed over black.
Subic Grand Seas Resort, Olongapo, Zambales
After a tiring year of school and work, I need a grand getaway from the city life this summer. I’m happy that I have a Belle de Jour planner that comes with a coupon that grants me to a grand discount for a grand vacation in Subic Grand Seas Resort, a beach resort located in Subic Bay. Although it has limited space as I’ve observed it, it offers a lot of facilities and services that I truly enjoyed.
Summer vibe calls for this white summer dress and Havaianas slippers. This is an old dress, actually, but I remember it buying from one of the stalls in Boracay.
Tree Top Adventure, Morong, Bataan
Since we still had time after checking out from Subic Grand Seas, my mom and I decided to take a day tour at Treetop Adventure in Morong, Bataan. It is an adventure nature park that offers a zip line park, specifically signature rides and attractions and team building facilities, that brings its guests all the safety comforts while keeping the thrills.
I know I could move freely and be more flexible in a stretchable jumpsuit and rubber shoes so I brought this camouflage jumpsuit from Divisoria and triple white Nike Kaishi Run.
Taal Vista, Tagaytay, Cavite
Some of the perks of having parents, who are distributors, are parties and complimentary staycations at well-known hotels. Last June, I joined my mom when she attended a dealer’s party of Vivo Smart Phone at Taal Vista Hotel. Many hotels and resorts were built in Tagaytay and yet, Taal Vista Hotel remains to be trendy and elegant. As they say, Taal Vista Hotel is a place that will leave you a nostalgic for a treasured past and decades of colorful memories.
We were required to wear smart casual attire for the party so I opted for this tan button-down long-sleeved shirt from Divisoria. After the party, I changed my pants to a black short from a thrift shop. The Havaianas slippers and Anne Klein wrist watch completed the look.
Okada Manila, Parañaque City
Opening last year, Okada Manila, a casino resort and hotel complex, located at the Entertainment City gaming strip in Parañaque, immediately gained a lot of tourists and visitors due to its one-of-a-kind accommodations and facilities such as the dancing fountain. I haven’t stayed at Okada Hotel for a night yet but we visited to play casinos.
You can’t I’m wearing pieces from Divisoria as the printed skater skirt, gray outerwear and gold body bag looked chic with the branded yellow sleeveless swing top from SM Woman.
Conrad Manila, Pasay City
Conrad Manila just opened last year and it easily became a famous staycation destination because of the view of Manila Bay and SM MOA Eye, not to mention the sophisticated design and hospitality of Hilton. I haven’t slept at this hotel but we frequently visit S Maison, the mall at the hotel’s ground floor, since it was just near home. After all, luxurious restaurants can be found here.
One time, Leya invited me to be one of their models. Our photoshoot was held here. Therefore, I’m displaying this white shirt from Leya. I brought my BNY Jeans denim shorts, Syrup boots, Guess wrist watch and unbranded bag with me. The designer accessorized me with necklace and bracelet.
Namoo House, Uptown Parade, Taguig City
I requested Namoo House as a venue to celebrate my birthday since I love Samgyeopsal so much. Moreover, I witnessed a lot of important personalities having their dinner here so I was curious. Lo and behold, I had the best Samgyeopsal in my entire life.
These denim jacket and black statement blouse from H&M definitely caught my eye. So I bought them on the day before my birthday and wore them immediately here at Namoo House.
