How I Make Chicken Salad Open Sandwich

A chicken salad is so versatile that you can add any dressing you prefer and any greens and vegetables you want and it will still taste amazing.

In this version, I’d like to put it in bite-sized snack and serve it on toasted bread. It’s an open sandwich that is not difficult to make and has ingredients that are easily available in the Philippine market. After all, chicken salad is one of the most popular smørrebrød or open sandwich toppings.

1. Prepare all the ingredients needed.

  • 500 grams ground chicken
  • 4 bread slices
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise 
  • 1/4 cup celery
  • 2 onion head
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard 
  • pepper
  • salt

2. Cook the ground chicken and season with salt and pepper.

3. Chop the celery and onion.

4. Combine chicken, celery and onion. Dress with mayonnaise and mustard.

5. Toast the bread.

6. Lay celery leaves.

7. Place chicken salad on top.

8. Sprinkle with celery flakes.

9. Your Chicken Salad Crostini is now done and ready to be served.
