Best Of Uni-President

It’s the 177th day of quarantine period in our region and since we’re back in Mindoro, we’re also back to featuring products instead of restaurants.

But wherever we are, my boyfriend and I are fans of midnight snacks. In Manila, we roam around and buy stuff at 24/7 restaurants and cafe. In Mindoro, our only choice is to shop at 7 Eleven after 12 in the morning. While looking for something to eat at the said convenience store, I found out a great brand for midnight cravings. 

Uni-President, a subsidiary of one of the biggest food manufacturing conglomerates in Asia, offers noodles, snacks and coffee and tea beverages. 

They really know my midnight essentials, huh?

Nooda Crunch

The one who thought and invented Nooda Crunch is just smart. He definitely knows that eating uncooked instant noodles is a thing. And Uni-President even added flavors. The flavoring is separated so you can adjust its amount. But it’s salty when all of the powder is consumed. The cheese flavor is my favorite.

Mine Shine Green Tea Drinks

The aroma and taste of Mine Shine Green Tea Drink in Fruit Punch flavor gives me a burst of flavors. It’s like a fusion of healthy green tea and non-alcoholic wine. But the result was indeed awesome and addicting since it is also fruit-flavored. I haven’t tried the Honey Lemon flavor but I’m sure it will good, too.

Mon Passion Cafe Mocha

Wow! This coffee is stylishly packaged in cans. But the stocks from 7 Eleven has rust. That’s disappointing but the coffee lover in me doesn’t stop trying. this is delish! At first, you will be fascinated with its creamy and chocolatey burst of flavors. Then, the caffeine will just gradually hit you. I need bigger cans of this!

Chai Li Won

Because I’m used to drinking fruit-flavored green teas, I didn’t notice that I picked a different one. So when I had a sip on Chai Li Won, I wasn’t expecting a plain tea coming to my throat. I know that it was my fault but this made me realize that I’m not into this kind of tea. I prefer hot teas, regardless of the flavor, and flavored teas, regardless if they’re hot or iced.

Mine Shine Milk Tea Drink

It has this milky flavor that soothes my palate. It’s also fragrant in the mouth like as if I drank a juice of flower. It isn’t too sweet so it doesn’t oversatiate unlike other milk teas. Its simply composed of milk and black tea but it has full of flavors. Even though it only comes in flavor, this barley-based Milk Tea Drink stands out. 

Unif Assam Milk Tea

It is hard to identify its difference to Mine Shine Milk Tea Drink. I just noticed that it has less aromatic taste maybe because of the absence of barley tea, which is replaced by Assam black tea. I always know Assam as a strong tea but in this drink, it is toned down because of the creamy milk.

Ho-Mi Pancit Canton

The first thing I noticed is the small serving of Pancit Canton in each pack. But I am enjoying the thin noodles. The amount of the accompanying flavoring was just right. Aside from the tanginess and saltiness from the Toyomansi flavoring, I can also sense its umami flavors.

Unif 100% Veggie and Fruit Juice

Recently, I’m into healthy beverages and this drink, which consists of vegetables and fruit concentrate as its long name says, is fit to my today’s lifestyle. You can tell from its taste that it is made naturally and has full of fiber. It has a weird sour taste but I like it. For my taste preference, I just needed to add water to tone down its intense flavors.

One More Cup

For noodles in cups, they offer One More Cup although they also have Ho-Mi noodles in cup so I really do not know the difference except on the flavors. From the smell alone, I can already sense that it’s spicy but the chilliness blends well with the beef flavor. The noodles are easy to enjoy since they are thin. I love that it’s flavorful and aromatic.

Ho-Mi Instant Mami Noodles

This Ho-Mi from packs may look plain since it doesn’t have meat and veggie bits with it, but that also means fewer preservatives, so thinking about it, it’s alright. But it seems bland, too, despite following the instructions and amount of water to be added. I had the chicken flavor. I guess it would be more flavorful if I bought the beef flavor.
