Crusoe Cabins & Aquaria Water Park: Where Summer Never Ends
buying soma Another weekend, another trip outside our land! As long as we’re taking a break from the pandemic’s restrictions, that is our motto. Therefore, last weekend, we went to Calatagan and had our summer escape at CaSoBe.
http___www.bigleaguekickball.com_about_ Order Soma No Prior Script Overnight Upon arrival, we could not contain our joy and amazement. Just like what my mom said, “Who would have thought that there’s an enormous beach club in the humble town of Calatagan?”
I must say that CaSoBe is on the rise literally and figuratively! I’ve known Aquaria Waterpark since I was college. That was 2017. Crusoe Cabins eventually made waves, too. The two are in every list of most recommended resorts in Batangas. I didn’t know that they are in the same compound and that they are owned by the same company back then. Now, Cocoons is getting attraction in social sites as well because of its unique take on staycations. CaSoBe also has an events place called Canopy. And I discovered that they are constructing more establishments. Colony will soon provide co-working spaces that aims to balance work and life.
Check-in time is three in the afternoon but we arrived at noontime. Even though we are early for a few hours and our room isn’t ready yet, it’s a good thing that they still accepted us. Therefore, we got more time to wander around CaSoBe and to take photos of their facilities.
CaSoBe clearly allotted a generous budget for employees as there are a number of employees in the compound from attendants, drivers, life guards, guards and maintenance workers. This means that we get assistance everywhere. And they’re friendly, too, as each of them do not forget to greet us when we meet.
Few more things I would like to mention are their smart techie ways to properly accommodate visitors. They provide us magnetic key bracelets, which are portable. We can carry them even while swimming. They give us a mobile hot line number that we can call wherever we are and not just when we are in our rooms. Electric carts are used as shuttles while bikes are available for rent if guests wish to roam around on their own. I love their millennial take on this!
Cabin Crusoe prides itself for having and transforming container vans into dainty cabins as their accommodation. These are huts that delivers rustic yet luxurious vibes. Some of them are located right at the beachfront so it will surely channel the island girl in me if only we stayed here. However, the cabins that has the best view of the sea are fully-booked so we ended up in a Premier Garden Cabin.
The setting of the cabin’s interior doesn’t follow the traditional hotel room styles but they still made it comfortable and wonderful to stay at. The inside is like a narrow apartment accented with modern artsy design. Crusoe Cabins understand the considered necessity of the guests like outlet near beds, WiFi, smart TV, shower heater and bidet. The cabin is complete with basic complementary stuff, too. However, the internet is so slow that I couldn’t watch Netflix in their television.
I agree that Calatagan is the perfect location to build Crusoe Cabins. This town has the longest coastline in the Batangas and most of its beaches have semi-white sand like in CaSoBe. There’s a variety of sand in the coast from fine to coarse ones but the shore still looks clean. Moreover, the beach is not crowded since it is almost exclusive for guests.
We were surprised not to witness any waves in the sea. I don’t think CaSoBe is located in a cove for that to happen. But we are happier because it’s calm and kid-friendly. The shallow area is also wide and is more than enough to play with water. The beach and pools are only open until six in the afternoon. We may want to swim in moonlight but I understand that it’s for our safety.
Aside from cabins, there are also picnic tables and cabanas near the shore, which, I think, are mainly intended for day tour visitors. Crusoe Cabins likewise offer water sports activities such as kayak, banana boat, jetski and pedal boat. In the middle of garden cabins, there is either a bonfire area, a picnic area or a volleyball court. But as one who is just craving for relaxation, I’m already contended with their swings. There are two swings standing in the middle of the sea, one along the shore and the Swing Bar.
The pool size in Aquaria is no joke! It’s a big strip divided into parts depending on where you want to get soaked and splashed. The parts include lap pools, kiddie pools, cove pools and sunken pool bar. Therefore, the water park can really cater a big crowd. Although there’s a lot of stuff going on in the pool, I find the water park neat, well-landscaped and well-maintained. The size of the pool was kinda overwhelming so we just chose to settle in the landing pool of their slide.
Honestly, I don’t look at Aquaria as a water park since it only has one giant slide. It’s a three-storey tall slide with loops. But that one slide alone is enough to fulfill the thrill and excitement. It sounds cliche but it was totally fun sliding! It was quite nauseous at first but the fun was dominating that I wanted to try it again and again.
You’ll never ran out of lounge chairs and tables with umbrella in Aquaria. You can see them in every corner. Colored in bright yellow, the chairs complement well with the crystal blue water. So don’t miss taking your photos here while lying and bathing under the sun. There are also pool side cabanas for big groups. The cabanas are arranged so that guests can directly plunge into the water.
CaSoBe’s latest attraction is Cocoons. These are capsule rooms “designed to merge intimate stays” and to provide an Instagram-worthy space for guests. They’re exceptionally amazing and modern-looking but checking in to one of these Cocoon didn’t come to mind because we are planning to visit their property in Club Laiya, which mostly features Cocoons. In other words, we’re gonna save this kind of fun for our next vacay.
As a coffee lover, I claim Taza Mia’s place as the best spot in CaSoBe. Just imagine having coffee while watching the sunset over the calm sea and feeling the ocean breeze. It will make you realize that resting can be productive at times. Therefore, placing Taza Mia Cafe in one of their beautiful beachfront cabins is indeed a great idea.
Opening the earliest among Crusoe Cabin’s restaurants, The Sands is where guests usually take their breakfast. It’s situated near Aquaria so it is accessible to day tour visitors, too. The Sands’ specialty is Filipino cuisine so you’ll definitely feel at home with their food.
The Rib Shack is more of a western food restaurant with ribs as their main course. We took our lunch and dinner here. Although we can get a cool breeze at The Rib Shack, I hope they also consider on having air-conditioned restaurant on their next development so guests can have options.
We ordered Ribs and Peri Peri Chicken at The Ribs Shack and Poached Egg Benedict and Pancakes at The Sands. The ribs and chicken are both tender. The Ribs is smothered with smoky barbecue sauce. The Peri Peri Chicken is peppery and lemony at the same time. I was surprised to see generous serving of Poached Egg Benedict. These three perfectly poached eggs on top of bread surely made my tummy full and my eyes delighted. The pancakes, on the other hand, are fluffy and delish.
I’m summing up my weekend with these TikTok videos I created. If there’s one word that describes my Crusoe Cabins stay and Aquaria escapade, it’s “rewarding”. This is my much needed break from all the stress I got from work. Whether you are a laid-back person who just wants serenity or an adventurous person who’ll enjoy a tropical wonderland, CaSoBe (Crusoe Cabins and Aquaria Water Park respectively) is the place for you.
