When it comes to coffee, Desserts Gallery delivers. Their Caramel Macchiato is my personal favorite among their list of coffee-based drinks as it reminds me of the Iced Caramel Macchiato from Casa Estela. The blend of caramel, coffee, and milk is spot-on. I love how the coffee remains rich despite the addition of caramel syrup, keeping it from being overly sweet. I honestly can’t describe it. It was just heavenly. It’s just one of those drinks that instantly lifts your mood.
soma cod saturday Premium Matcha Latte | Pan au Chocolat

There were two matcha latte options on the menu. I believe that Creamy Matcha Latte was added to cater customers who do not fancy its bitter notes. But of course, I went for the premium one. It didn’t disappoint. The earthy flavor was close to authentic. It had a mild sweetness and creaminess that made it incredibly smooth. Pairing it with the Pan au Chocolat was a winning move. The pastry was beautifully flaky on the outside while remaining soft and bread-like at the bottom. The chocolate filling was rich, bittersweet, and velvety. It was truly a delight.
Takoyaki Fries | Strawberry Latte

Having Takoyaki Fries in their menu is a great idea. While most cafes stick to classic fries with cheese or bacon toppings, Desserts Gallery took a risk with Takoyaki-inspired fries and it totally worked. The tangy sauce and savory bonito flakes captured the essence of takoyaki without the octopus. The fries themselves were cooked just right. It wasn’t overly crispy or starchy. I also tried their Strawberry Latte and the flavor from the strawberry puree was quite intense. I just let the ice melt a little more and it did the trick.
Sweet Soy Spam Rice

At first, I expected a typical silog, a simple bowl of rice with Spam, egg, and some sauce on the side. But I was pleasantly surprised. Once I mixed everything together, the sweet soy sauce combined with the umami hints of the Spam created a burst of flavors that was simply irresistible. The Japanese touch from the furikake added an extra layer of texture and flavor, making it even more satisfying. My only regret was not requesting undercooked scrambled eggs for that creamy finish. Still, this dish hit all the right notes for a comforting rice meal.
Shrimp Aglio Olio

If you’re a fan of bold and herby flavors, the Shrimp Aglio Olio won’t disappoint. The seasoning was intense. It was on the salty side but the hint of spiciness kept it interesting. The fresh herbs gave it a vibrant and slightly healthy vibe. I’m happy that the shrimps were cooked just right and the pasta was done al dente. I also had the chance to try their Tuna Pesto Pasta and Creamy Carbonara, both of which were equally delicious. My mom loves their set of pastas and always recommends it when she brings her friends in Desserts Gallery.
Sausage and Egg Sandwich | Potato Croquettes

This is hands down one of the best sausage sandwiches I’ve had in Pinamalayan. The sausage was juicy and flavorful, and it blended with the egg, cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato, and dressing. Just imagine all these in one sandwich! Every bite was a delicious harmony of textures and flavors. Having potato croquettes as a side flawlessly complemented the hearty sandwich. They were golden and crispy on the outside and soft and smooth on the inside. It was an easy choice among their appetizers as it goes well with every dish.
Taiwanese Chicken Rice

This dish, unfortunately, lacked visual appeal. It looked a bit plain and could’ve been improved by some garnishing to brighten up the plate. However, it completely redeemed itself in terms of flavor. The chicken was excellently cooked, with a nostalgic taste that reminded me of the chicken pops from Tori Box in Manila. The seasoning had a delicious heat and tang, though I found it a bit overwhelming without rice to balance it out. Still, it was a flavorful and satisfying dish.
Basque Burnt Cheesecake

We, from Maritime Ice, received this as a simple yet thoughtful Christmas gift from Desserts Gallery, and it was a treat in every way. Visually, it was beautifully crafted and topped with fresh strawberries that were surprisingly sweet even though it wasn’t strawberry season. I’m not usually a cheesecake person, but this one was light and not overwhelmingly rich. It’s a dessert that even non-cheesecake lovers can appreciate. Cakes are indeed the coffee shop’s specialty. I remember the bento cake I bought from them before and it was adorable and indulgent. The frosting was light and creamy, complementing the cake without overpowering it.
