Gloria’s Queeen Of Bread
Queeen B is one of the food place loved by both Pinamaleños and Glorianos during the time of pandemic since they once had branches in the respective towns. I can vividly remember their attractive pastel-colored food stall in the Bonifacio Food Stop since Queeen B is the only air-conditioned store there. I don’t know why but I only visited their Pinamalayan branch once. I only found Queeen B’s great deals during their last days in Gloria.
I had mixed emotions when I learned that Queeen B was moving to Marikina. I feel regret because they’ve been here for so long yet I only discovered how good their subs are when they were near to close down the shop. But I’m happy that I got to try some delish dishes before they leave Mindoro.
Queen Submarine
I didn’t regret ordering this flavor among the options because those folds of ham and bacon are indeed satisfying! It’s evident to the meat’s flavor that they’re high quality. The lettuce adds an air of freshness. The sandwich is moist and well-dressed but next time, I’ll add cheese for that extra ooziness. The bread is flavorless but I find it fitting and delish. That’s the magic of ciabatta. It made me buy the baguette on the stands. It’s perfect for my home recipes.
Chicken Pesto Pasta
When I distinctly tasted the fusion of herbs, peanuts and parmesan in the pesto sauce, I already know that this pasta is incredible. It is also generous in sauce and its curls hold a good amount of it so its flavorful in every forkful. When I took a sip of their coffee, I instantly fell in love. I am meticulous when it comes to coffee and this Vanilla Iced Coffee just passed my standards. It’s strong and the milk feels just like a sweetener. Its taste has resemblance to Vietnamese Coffee.
Panini Sandwich
I was amused on the form of this panini because it’s round and flat, like how a panini should be. Everything’s well-tacked. It’s heavy in tummy. It’s good but I don’t think that the fillings is proportional to the bread. It almost hides the flavor of meat and it could have been moister and tangier. I’m not a fan of cupcakes but Queeen B’s Chocolate Cupcakes are incredible. It kinda resembles the texture of brownies and Dunkin’ Donut’s Choco Butternut. The frosting melts in the mouth.
Bacon Overload Pizza
All the flavors from bacon and other toppings are rushing in as if they’re talking to me. I’m getting all the cheese action. The cheese is holding it all together. However, ordering a pizza in Queeen B may take time because the crust is freshly kneaded and baked in every purchase. But for me, it works to their advantage. Plus, we can see how they make it through their glass kitchen. I like the balance of tangy and sweet in their Blueberry Cheesecake. I just wish they have smaller bites for this.
Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread
The first Queeen B product I’ve tried is their Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread because it was totally recommended by friends. The exterior is crunchy and the interior is kind of custardy while still chewy like a good bread should. It’s filled with a lightly sweetened cream cheese filling and loaded with garlic goodness. I remember pairing this with their Strawberry Milkshake and it was kinda sour for my liking. I guess more milk or ice cream should be added to proportionate the flavor.
