How I Make Colombian Hot Chocolate With Mozzarella

If Vietnam has this crazy addition to coffee like egg and yogurt, Colombia has a strange yet interesting way of drinking hot chocolate. You won’t believe that they are adding cheese to a freshly boiled chocolate.

No, I’m not talking about the cheese foam or cheese walling that you add to milk teas and coffee like what I did in Oreo Cream Cheese Milk Tea and Cheese Foam Cold Brew. They’re using unblended mozzarella cheese!

The outcome gives the drinkers a melted cheese in chocolate, causing the liquid to be extra thick and creamy. There’s a reason why Colombians love this and by making this in our home, we’ll discover why.

1. Prepare all the ingredients needed.

  • Cocoa Tablets
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Milk
  • Brown Sugar

2. Heat milk on a stove.

3. Drop cocoa tablets and cook until melted.

4. Get your mug and put the mozzarella cheese.

5. Pour the hot chocolate over cheese and let the mozzarella melt.

6. Your Colombian Hot Chocolate is now done and ready to be served.
