How I Make Mexican Bloody Mary

The Bloody Mary is one of the most iconic cocktails out there. It’s a bold, savory drink with vodka, tomato juice, and a kick of spice. It’s often hailed as the ultimate brunch cocktail, believed to be a hangover cure and a drinkable meal all in one. But since I’m still a rookie when it comes to cocktails, I decided to take a different route and make a Michelada instead!

I first discovered Micheladas while watching Heavenly Bites: Mexico on Netflix, where an entire episode was dedicated to this refreshing, flavorful drink. Think of it as Mexico’s take on the Bloody Mary, but instead of vodka, it’s made with beer. It’s tangy, spicy, incredibly thirst-quenching and perfect for those who love a little kick in their drinks.

Let’s mix up this Mexican classic!

1. Prepare all the ingredients needed.

  • 350ml Beer
  • 350ml Tomato Juice
  • Lemon
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Hot sauce
  • 1/8 tsp Paprika
  • Beer salt
  • Ice

2. Squeeze lemon in a shaker.

3. Mix tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, hot sauce and paprika together.

4. Add the beer.

5. Throw some ice.

6. Shake.

7. Get your glass and dip the rim into the hot sauce and into a plate of beer salt.

8. Pour the cocktail. Top with garnishes.

9. Your Mexican Bloody Mary is now done and ready to be served.
