How To Make Grilled Mac N’ Cheese Sandwich
It’s the 48th day of quarantine period in our region and just like what I did in Mozzarella Sticks and Pepperoni Pizza Toast I shared during the 23rd and 30th day of quarantine period respectively, I am finding ways to utilize Breen Milk Tea‘s Mozzarella blocks for the shop’s Mozzarella snacks, which cannot be used due to lockdown and store’s temporary closure. Thankfully, Dine at Log bought the second block for their food since the restaurant is open for pick-up and delivery orders. At the same time, we consume the first block for personal use. And by personal use, I mean food experiments. Today, you’ll be witnessing another experiment in our kitchen.
Since grilled cheese is one of my favorite sandwiches, I decided to upgrade it and add mac and cheese fillings.
1. Prepare all the ingredients needed.
- instant Mac and Cheese
- mozzarella cheese
- loaves of bread
- butter or margarine
I used instant Mac and Cheese for a faster cooking. But you can always cook homemade Mac and Cheese for this or use leftover Mac and Cheese if there is such thing. I won’t mention the measurements because we just estimated it. It’s actually up to you based on how you would like the sandwiches to be.
2. Cook macaroni pasta in boiling water.
3. Mix cheese sauce and macaroni pasta. Follow the instructions of instant mac and cheese pack.
4. Grate the mozzarella cheese.
5. Melt butter or margarine on a pan.
6. Toast bread loaves.
7. Add as much grated mozzarella cheese as you want.
8. Arrange cooked mac and cheese on top.
9. Close the sandwich.
10. Your Grilled Mac and Cheese Sandwich is now done and ready to be served.
