How To Make Lady’s Choice Beef Pasta
Mom’s friends on Facebook already knew that I made a pasta for my boyfriend’s birthday. Yes! She announced it first before I do or before my boyfriend does. She’s such spoiler! But let’s make it official now. I cooked a Lady’s Choice version of the Russian beef pasta, which is known as the Beef Stroganoff.
This is not the traditional way of making the Russian Beef Stroganoff because first of all, it’s main ingredient is beef and sour cream. This Lady’s Choice version of the said beef pasta uses mayonnaise as an alternative for sour cream to give us an idea that a mayo to pasta can be delish, too. After all, mayonnaise is more common in Philippine market than sour cream.
1. Prepare all the ingredients needed. This includes Lady’s Choice mayonnaise, beef sirloin, Rotini pasta, sliced mushroom, cream, onion, garlic, beef cube, salt and pepper.
2. Cook a kilo of pasta. I used Rotini pasta for this recipe but you can use any pasta of your choice.
3. Chop a bulb of onion and four cloves of garlic.
4. Saute chopped onions, garlic and a can of sliced mushroom in oil.
5. Remove this from the pan and set aside.
6. Using the same pan, brown a kilo of sliced beef sirloin over high heat.
7. Once the juices come out, add the beef cube into the pan.
8. Pour two cups of cream and sauteed mushroom in to the beef. Add salt and pepper to taste. Let this simmer.
9. This is the best part. Lower heat and stir in six tablespoons of Lady’s Choice mayonnaise. You will really see the difference with or without it.
10. Drain the pasta.
11. Pour drained Rotini on its sauce. Mix well.
12. Your Beef Stroganoff is now done and ready to be served.
