How To Make Tuna Sushi Rolls
Representing Japanese cuisine ever since, sushi is a popular dish that reached every country in the world. There are four basic types of Sushi – Maki, Uramaki, Temaki and Nigiri. But for today, I chose to make Maki. Many people get confused about its difference to other Sushi kinds. Maki, or Roll in English terms, is a sushi of rice and filling wrapped in seaweed or Nori. You just have to remember that when the black or green sheet is outside, that’s called Roll or Maki.
Anyway, in this blog post, we’re going to make Tuna Sushi Rolls. However, this is not usual Tuna Roll or Tekkamaki done by the Japanese because they use raw tuna, which is still red in color. My mom isn’t fond of raw food so I used corned tuna instead. How? Keep reading.
1. Prepare all the ingredients needed. This includes Nori, sushi rice, corned tuna, mayonnaise, onion and salt.
2. Chop a piece of onion into bits.
3. Combine chopped onions and two cups of corned tuna.
4. Season with salt.
5. Put in two tablespoons of mayonnaise. Mix them altogether and set this aside.
6. Place Nori on sushi mat and spread sushi rice on Nori. Make sure it’s thin and flat.
7. Arrange the tuna mixture on top of the rice.
8. Roll the sushi tightly using the sushi mat.
9. Slice the sushi into small rolls using wet knife.
10. Your Tuna Sushi Rolls are now and ready to be served.
