Mushroomburger: For A Healthier Choice!
Ever since childhood, you really cannot go to Tagaytay without visiting Mushroomburger. Our parents really knew where the best mushroom burger is created so they brought us here. I told my boyfriend and my sister-in-law about this and we all have the same story. We were still kids when we last tried Mushroomburger but until now, our palates are aware of how their burgers were beautifully and deliciously made. Plus, I can devour their burgers with less guilt because we know that their patty is made of 50% meat and 50% mushroom. Amazing, right?
However, Mushroomburger isn’t just about burgers. In this fast-food-styled restaurant, you can choose your meal among their list of breakfast dishes, rice toppings, noodles and desserts. You’ll be amazed at how they put a mushroom twist on these dishes.

Who would have thought that this simple-looking burger would be renowned nationwide? The secret is in the patty, of course. The mushroom flavors in it are easily recognizable and amazing. It’s something meat lovers and vegetable lovers alike will surely love. The cheese, egg and freshly-baked bun are good addition to the burger, too. It’s surprisingly not sloppy despite of the amount of sauce. It is served with fries, which I think, is just an ordinary fries.
Burger Steak
This restaurant never failed to amaze me. I honestly think that this is one of the few burgers that isn’t 100% beef but managed to be luscious. And I could appreciate it more with rice in this Burger Steak meal. I was just bothered with the black boiled egg, which, I guess, was cooked in soy sauce. This meal comes with a regular iced tea but we upgraded the drink to Sago Gulaman, which immediately disappeared because my mom drank it right away.
Lomi
The moment this Lomi landed our table, we all mouthed the word “wow.” It was oozing with toppings despite of being meatless! It’s generous in noodles, vegetables and different kinds of mushrooms. This is the Lomi that truly exemplifies the flavor of mushroom because there is no meat flavor that hinders. I can’t also hide my admiration for their mushroom soup. They gave us the authentic broth of mushroom seasoned and with mushroom bits.
Choco Malt Tornado
At first, I thought I was unlucky because the only Tornado flavor was Choco Malt when I asked for Mixed Berry. Plus, it’s the last serving of their Tornado sundae so I got the remaining scoops of their soft serve. However, when I had a taste, I realized that this is meant to be mine because I instantly loved Choco Malt. It has all sorts of chocolate from ice cream, Milo powder and cereals. I totally like the playful flavors it gave.
Dried Shiitaki Mushroom
While waiting for our order, we scanned the shelf of pasalubong beside the counter. It has different kinds of mushrooms and other Philippine biscuits like barquillos, arrowroot cookies and banana chips. We bought a pack of dried Shiitaki Mushroom and discovered that these products were only merchandised by Mushroomburger. Anyway, we tried adding these mushroom to our dishes and I must say that its flavor dominates the dish. It’s also crunchy.
