Razon’s Of Guagua: Halo-halo And More!
When we think of halo-halo, Razon’s of Guagua is first in the list of restaurants that comes to our mind. Based on my research, it was just a small parlor located at the K and M Park Subdivision in Guagua. But because of the exceptional recipe and extraordinary taste of their version of this Filipino dessert, Razon’s halo-halo has reached Metro Manila and other parts of the country. I am very happy with their success but I must say that we also gained from their expansion because we got to taste the delicacies that made their town famous.

There’s no question why Razon’s Halo-halo became a real hit. It only has saba banana, macapuno and leche flan as contents yet they made it remarkably delectable. Its shaved ice, which is smooth in texture and milky in flavor, is a plus point. I would say that Razon’s Halo-halo is definitely a glass of happiness and I’m amazed that with only three main ingredients, they were able to make this famous Halo-halo. But I still think that the traditional halo-halo, with lots of fruits, will always be better.

For those who are not familiar with Pancit Luglug, it is the Pampanga’s version of Pancit Palabok. What I love about Pancit Luglug is the distinct softness of the rice noodles in comparison to the usual Pancit Palabok despite of its thickness. I saw all that in Razon’s Pancit Luglug. However, they kinda fail because of the sauce. It is a bit bland. And again, they bore simplicity as they had crushed chicharon and slices of boiled egg as the only toppings of the pancit.

Razon’s didn’t just bring Guagua’s famous halo-halo to the metro but it also provided us puto whose recipe is only known by Kapampangans. For me, the best puto comes from Pampanga and Bulacan and Razon’s puto doesn’t taste far. Just like how I expected it to be, their puto is soft, fluffy and not airy in the inside. It’s milky and creamy in flavor. They obviously used quality ingredients for this. I’m gonna try it with their dinuguan next time. It will surely be another favorite combo.
buy watson soma Sizzling Bulalo
Before I tried Razon’s, I’ve been reading its reviews in Zomato and I noticed that everyone’s talking about their halo-halo. Can we all set aside halo-halo for a while and talk about how good their sizzling bulalo is? Every part of it was just perfect. The meat is tender. I like that it was more beefy than greasy. The sauce was on point. It’s beefy and buttery at the same time. But the bone marrow was the best, of course. There’s no need to explain how good it was.

I could feel my eyes turning into hearts when I saw these jars and cans displayed on their cashier. I wanna have them all in our kitchen! I’m sorry for the overreaction. Only my fellow seafood lovers would understand this kind of emotional state. Anyway, I only tried a bottle and it didn’t break my belief that Pampangenos cook the best crab roe in the country. I admire its pure and natural flavor. I remember mixing it with my rice every meal. It wasn’t the time to think about cholesterol.

For some people, cheese on top of ensaymada is a big deal so let’s talk about that. I just noticed that the grated cheese for bites and regular ensaymada is quite inconsistent. If you want a cheesy one, go for the regular and they’ll give you a small bun. The bites, on the other hand, is sliced into pieces so it’s great for sharing. However, the grated cheese only covers the middle bun. Both kinds are buttery though. Other than that, Razon’s ensaymada soft and freshly baked.

I noticed that they don’t put much effort on their food stall branches. One time, I ordered Bistig in Razon’s located at the food court in Gateway and I was disappointed with the presentation of the food. They only use paper cups in some of the meals and it’s like as if they just tossed a small amount of beef on top of the rice and garnish it with onion rings. I appreciate the juiciness and softness of the beef. However, it’s still difficult to rate it high especially when they gave me a cup of rice that is hard and chewy.
Cheeseburger
I don’t know whether I should be happy with this piece of cheeseburger or not. After everything that happened to the restaurant, their cheeseburger stayed this simple. It’s like I bought a burger from an unknown burger stand in the nearest street corner. But the other side of me says that I should be delighted because it signifies that Razon’s remained humble and budget-friendly. After all, even though it’s small and plain, it’s yummy because of the soft and fresh bun and beefy flavor of the patty.
