How I Make Scottish Mac N’ Cheese Pie

Okay! I guess we’ll have a two-part blog on ways to cook macaroni pasta because the pasta I cooked for the Chicken Macaroni Soup last time was excessive. It’s a good think I’m craving for Mac N’ Cheese now.

But, of course, me being me, it wasn’t a simple Mac N’ Cheese. I always want my food to be extra so I opted for Scottish Macaroni Pie.

Upon searching the net, I learned that there are two types of Macaroni Pie. The thing that makes Scottish Macaroni Pie different from the simply baked ones is the crust pie shell. That’s how I actually define a true pie. It’s famous in Scotland that it is found in bakeries, supermarkets, corner shops and cafes all over the country.

  • 200 grams cheddar cheese

3. Knead and flatten. I’m sorry for the rough texture. I don’t have rolling pin.

4. Grease dish pan. Lay flatten dough on it. Set this aside.

5. Make the cheese sauce by melting butter and cheese in the remaining milk. Season with salt and pepper. Thicken with flour if needed.

6. Cook macaroni pasta and mix into the cheese sauce.

7. Slice bacon into bits and put into the casserole. Mix until cooked.

8. Get the dish pan and fill it with the Mac and Cheese.

9. Grate cheese on top.

10. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.
