Seacliff Suites For Your Trip To Pinamalayan
Finally! A presentable and sophisticated accommodation in Pinamalayan for tourists, guests coming outside the province and, probably, locals, who just want to chill, like me!
Established in 2020, Seacliff Suites stands three-storey tall along the streets of Quezon in our town. Oh yes! The hotel is situated just in the next street corner from our residence. So you may wander what I am doing here. Well, it’s called staycation and enjoying life, guys!
We availed one of the least affordable rooms of Seacliff Suites for our one-night staycation yet we didn’t feel a cut-priced accommodation. The magnetic keycard, matted flooring, great WiFi connection, tidy housekeeping and neat interior arrangement made our stay luxurious. Moreover, I couldn’t forget the best part of the room – free Netflix! I finished the eight episodes of The Glory in no time! The bathroom is spacious, too. While I’m thankful for the bath area’s good sanitation, shower water’s heat and complimentary toiletries, I’m wishing that they added bidet beside the toilet.
I’m beyond grateful to the management for letting me live with my furbaby here. Yes! Small pets are allowed in the Seacliff Suites and that’s definitely a plus point. After all, with the lively plants at the entrance and pool area, the hotel is somehow a good place for pets to wander. Just take note that the hotel doesn’t hold accountable if your dog or cat goes missing.
When Seacliff Suites was still new, I heard comments on how expensive its Presidential Suite was. But when I learned how big it was during our visit, I realized that the price was reasonable. The suite is almost similar to a studio-type condominium unit that has complete parts like sala set, kitchen, dining area and bedrooms. There are even KTV rooms for entertainment. I can actually live there for a month.
Given the hotel’s setting, which is in a town proper beside a private elementary school and a children hospital, we can’t expect much of a view from the room’s window and the hotel’s deck. Commercial buildings and residential area, including our house, can be seen at the back of the compound. At our room, I can even hear the crowing of the roosters from a nearby residence and honestly, I’m enjoying the ambience. It’s the epitome of staying in sophistication yet still feeling the rurality of the place.
Recently, the hotel just opened their flagship restaurant, Rosario’s, which is accessible to hotel guests and walk-in visitors alike. The semi-fine dining restaurant’s interior is influenced by renaissance design. Being the first Spanish Filipino restaurant in town, I’m glad to finally spot some Spanish dishes that are not usual finds in Pinamalayan like croquettes, Pollo Asado, Carrillada, Gambas Al Ajillo, Paella and Ceviche.
We ordered Corn Cheese Croquettes and Crispy Beef Ribs Kare-kare. The corn and cheese weren’t proportionate to get a balanced taste of the two croquette fillings but I appreciate the crunch. The Kare-kare has only two chops of beef ribs yet each piece is abundant with meat. These ribs amd some greens are laid over a pool of luscious peanut sauce with real peanuts in it. We paired this with their Strawberry Milkshake, which was just a tad sweet but still yummy.
The Seacliff Suites may be a boutique hotel but it still managed to house a coffee bar, aside from its flagship restaurant. As a coffee lover, I wouldn’t miss trying out Coffee Beat’s Iced Latte. I appreciate when the barista asked my preference because I wouldn’t want my latte with sugar. In this way, I was able to recognize the flavor notes of the coffee with milk alone. It wasn’t the best out there but I liked the taste and foamy texture.
The hotel may have a small reception area but it didn’t fall short on lounge areas as they have cozy corners at the lobby, at the second floor and along the hallway leading to Rosario’s. Aside from accommodating dining guests, Rosario’s also serves as a convention hall for weddings, birthdays, etc. Other facilities of Seacliff Suites are the swimming pool and the Haplos by Mangyan Wellness Spa.
Our short staycation allowed us to take a dip into their swimming pool. I absolutely love how this area is landscaped despite of the tiny space. With plants and trees around, it seems that the pool is secluded in a garden. It’s not hard to capture an Instagram-worthy shot here. I’m just not a fan of the blue lights. Descending to the pool, I felt how frigid the water was. But we got used to the coldness eventually.
Recently, the management behind Seacliff Suites has also acquired Bulaklak Beach Resort, a once famed resort in Barangay Pili. It has been seven years since I last visited Bulaklak Beach Resort as it was left behind from the town’s innovations. As it will soon reopen, I’m looking forward to some developments. I’m confident that Seacliff Suites would make the resort relevant again in this modern era.
