TGIF For I’m In Fridays

Even just the sight of TGI Friday’s Resaurant make me crave for their delicacies. I have always been a fan of TGI Friday’s not just because of the food, but also because of the big servings, wonderful attire of the waiters and British-pub-like designs. Yes, their dishes were expensive, but I assure you, it was worth it.

TGI Fridays offers great food and amazing drinks ranging from burger, pasta, steak and other specialties to line up of mixed beverages.

Let’s get this party started with this deep fried tortilla chips covered with rich cheese sauce, chili and pico de gallo and served with fresh salsa. I can’t help but compare their dishes to Friday’s partner restaurants because I was thinking that they are in one group, so maybe, they’re almost the same. But they proved not. In this appetizer, I remember Krazy Garlik Nachos, which was also delightful. Of all nachos I’ve eaten, this was the second best after Krazy Garlik’s.

For the nth time, my mom was going to order her favorite Chili Ball Park Nachos and I was like hey!-hey!-hey!-stop-there!-Please-let’s-try-a-new-one. I already memorized the taste of Chili Ball Park Nachos because of her so I forced her to try TGIF’s new nacho dip. After all, we both like salmon so that time, we’re really excited to try its dip version. Well, the dip itself neither taste like salmon nor artichoke but there’s plenty of salmon chunks so we can’t hate it.

Caesar Salad

Eat light. Live large. Smile bigger. Their slogan affected us so much. Maybe, it’s because we’re totally feeling the nutrition this salad gives us. Imagine these crisp hearts of romaine lettuce tossed with our creamy Caesar dressing, grated parmesan cheese and crunchy croutons in front of you. However, the time we get there was not just the best time for preparing their Caesar Salad. Or maybe, the person assigned for garnishing was not present. I know this is impossible but you know what I’m trying to say, right?

Texas BBQ Wings

As I’ve said, I’ll be comparing Friday’s to its partner restaurants so I hope you expected that. When we’re speaking of wings, there’s only one in The Bistro Group that’s claiming the throne – Buffalo Wild Wings. Nevertheless, when I tasted Friday’s Texas BBQ Wings, I realized that there’s a competition happening on my mind here on which is the better. Both have rich taste of their flavors, although Fridays’ Texas BBQ Wings wasn’t hot when it landed our table. I enjoyed it still.

Fish and Chips

I ordered this Friday’s Fish and Chips one time, thinking that I’ll be experiencing the wholesomeness of Fish & Co‘s signature dish again. But as I said, they were different so both the fish and chips, didn’t reached the level of what I am expecting. Well, there’s nothing to worry because it was still irresistible that I finished it without the help of my companions. Who wouldn’t like fries? It was surprisingly not oily. The fish, on the other hand, was easy to munch.

Jack Daniel’s Pork Chop

I know in myself that I wouldn’t regret ordering for their Jack Daniel’s Porkchop since I already had this twice in their MOA and BGC branches and I loved from the moment I tasted it, especially the sauce. Yes! Please give emphasis on the sauce because it’s absolutely good. That’s why I had this again when we dine in TGIF Galleria. However, the pork chop I got wasn’t tender and was hard to cut and chew. I didn’t expect that. Now I believe that restaurant branches can be different to each other.

Friday’s Filipino Pork Liempo

This was my brother’s order back then and when he let me have a bite, men, I was asking myself why I missed it. Well, there’s next time and the featured photo above was taken during the next time I’m saying. As you can see, I have my own Friday’s Filipino Pork Liempo, that means, I can enjoy it all by myself. I’m glad that they’re generous in meat and selfish in pork’s fats. Moreover, I can taste the sauce absorbed by the pork belly in it. Plus, dipping it to their vinegar adds pleasure.

Brownie Obesession

This was the best part of our dinner! Shocks! Their dessert was as equally good as their main courses, I must say. We were really full when the Brownie Obsession was served. However, we have no choice but to eat it because aside from the fact that it’s free, this brownie, with its dripping syrup, was so inviting. The vanilla ice cream, the chocolate and caramel sauce, the pecans – all these perfectly blends to the sweetness of the two big fudgy brownies. I’m now obsessed with this.
