As burger fanatics, my boyfriend and I became an easy target of 8 Cuts Burger Blends. Ever since we moved to Manila, whenever we crave for some burger goodness, the said burger joint is always on our list of to-go places.

Filled with beef patty, cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions and tomatoes, visually, The Cheeseburger is just like any cheeseburgers we see in most restaurants. It’s simple and undorned. But when I had a taste, I definitely enjoyed its 100% beefy goodness. Sometimes, a burger is at its best when it’s less. I’m happy that they let their customers choose among their signature sauces. I picked the original house dressing and I didn’t regret it.

I was expecting a burger either with dripping cheese or with slices of different shades of yellow. However, the 8 Cuts Burgers’ version of Four Cheese consists of a crisp-fries cheese. That’s actually a unique idea! But for me, it’s still more appetizing when I see the layers of cheese in my burger. Nevertheless, I’m happy to recognize the parmesan, which is the one with crust, cheddar, gruyere and mozzarella from one another.

What makes 8 Cuts Burgers unique and different from other burger joints is the fact that they serve different kinds of patties based on various beef cuts. But honestly, I don’t know how to determine which is which when it comes to taste. But I’m also honest when I say that all these patty kinds are luscious. I’m running out of words to describe them. That’s what I thought when I had the Hang Over. I’m sorry if I didn’t mention the other fillings. The patty was the star.

I don’t know if they still offer these sliders in their stores because I had this quite a long time ago but I remember that they were juicy and tasty, just like most of their burgers. Despite of being skinny, I like that I still can get those potato starches. This is indeed the perfect partner for burgers.

Holiday Salad

I personally believe that burgers and vegetable salads do not go together. It’s like having a hearty meal in a high calorie restaurant. But it’s a good thing they have this Holiday Salad. I was able to bring my mom in 8 Cuts Burgers. I had a try of her order and despite of being leafy, I enjoyed its umami flavors. I wish she added grilled chicken because I think it will give a delicious impact into the salad. After all, we’ll just add 40 pesos for it. 

Molten Chocolate Bottoms

8 Cuts Burger Blends presented their desserts in jars. Therefore, we can clearly see the layers of molten chocolate, chocolate cake and whipped cream of their Molten Chocolate Bottoms. While the presentation gained my thumbs up, the taste reminds me that the joint specializes in burgers and not on cakes. This is exactly how my homemade chocolate lava cake taste like so I must say that this isn’t special.
