Starbucks’ Off-the-menu Drinks That You Can Customize
There’s more to Starbucks than just simple brewed coffee, iced and hot espresso, cold brew, iced tea and Frappuccino. With numerous sinkers and flavored syrups to add and various milk kinds and sugar syrup kinds to replace, Starbucks gives its customers the power to customize their coffee to the point that new drinks are made and popularized, hence, the creation of what people call “Starbucks’ Secret Menu.”
Here are few of the off-the-menu drinks that you can customize and order in Starbucks.

“Hi. Can I order 1 Caramel Macchiato, venti? Please replace vanilla with raspberry syrup.”
This one’s for the Blinks! You’ve probably heard the noise with the Starbucks’ Blackpink drink made famous by a barista named Shicone. It has this attractive layers of pink and coffee tone that gained the likes of customers.

“Hi. Can you make a grande milk with raspberry syrup, vanilla syrup and caramel drizzle for me? Thanks!”
The Pink Drink started as an off-the-menu drink requested and customized by customers as early as 2015. Recently, it became part of Starbucks’ limited edition refreshers.
Barista’s Drink
“Hi. Can I order one Barista’s Drink in grande size?”
Yep! The Barista’s Drink is so popular that you don’t need to enumerate the customizations. It’s simply an iced Americano with no water. It has white chocolate mocha and breve added. You’ll be given a strong and creamy coffee beverage.
Milk Tea
“Hi. Can I order one Iced Shaken Black Tea, grande, with fresh milk, classic syrup and coffee jelly?”
Before the release of Starbucks’ tea lattes and during the rise of milk teas in the country, I craft my own milk tea in Starbucks this way. After all, this is how milk tea shops make their classic milk teas with coffee jelly as add-ons.
Fruit Tea
“Hi! Can I order one grande Iced Shaken Tea with strawberry syrup?”
On the other hand, if you want a fruit tea instead of milk tea, you can order your iced tea in this way. The outcome is just a little bit tangier than the one we buy in milk tea shops.
Taylor’s Latte
“Hi. Can I order one Hot Caffe Latte, grande, with four pumps of caramel syrup and non-fat milk?”
As part of the promotion of “Red (Taylor’s Version)”, Starbucks revealed that this customized caramel latte is Taylor Swift’s favorite drink in the said cafe. In America, you can simply ask for “Taylor’s Latte” and the barista will know what you are talking about.
Strawberry Matcha
“Hi. Can I order one Matcha Frappuccino, venti? Please add strawberry syrup.”
When the Koreans and Japanese introduced Strawberry Milk and Matcha Ichigo respectively in the Philippines, some coffee and tea shops made their own versions of these drinks. Starbucks haven’t joined the trend yet but it’s something we can customize.
Chuckie
“Hi. Can I order one Iced Signature Chocolate, grande, with white chocolate mocha?”
I got this from Barista Brad Vargas’ tweet. I agree that it kinda tastes like Chuckie, the famous chocolate drink. Well, it has resemblance. However, it’s quite sweet for my liking. I imagine adding an espresso shot and it will be better, I guess.
Dirty Chai
“Hi! Can I order an Iced Chai Tea Latte with an espresso shot?”
I just miss the Dirty Horchata and Dirty Chai of El Union so while I’m waiting for my next La Union trip, let me customize this drink in Starbucks. It doesn’t taste exactly the same but it’s good enough to satisfy my spiced coffee cravings.
Pistachio Frappe
“Hi! Can I order one grande green tea cream frappuccino? Replace vanilla with caramel syrup and add hazelnut syrup and java chip. Blend in the whipped cream.”
I saw this in Facebook and said that it’s an alternative to pistachio drinks in Starbucks abroad. It tastes nothing like pistachio, actually. This just confirms that I’m not into frappes and sweet drinks. If you like earthy and sweet stuff, then, this is for you. But as for me, I’ll go back to coffee on the rocks.
