How I Make Beef Enoki Roll
Yakitori is one of the best street food and bar chow Japanese has invented. If I were ask, my favorite yakitori is the Enoki Maki or Enoki Rolls. The enoki mushroom just pops some different kind of peanuty flavor. It perfectly blends with quality meat. After all, some of the other Japanese grilled meat skewers have similar version to Philippine barbecue skewers.
I first learned about Enoki Rolls in an unlimited Samgyeopsal restaurant I visited and I instantly fell in love! We even ignored the other dishes and only requested for enoki rolls. I couldn’t get rid if them time. After all, it was an eat-all-you-can restaurant. We just maximized the worth of our bill.
Now, Enoki Rolls are not frequently available. And if they are available, they’re so expensive. So my love for Enoki Rolls has led me to making my own.
The Enoki Rolls I see in Korean and Japanese barbecue restaurants are usually marinated in various kinds of sauce. But I like mine with salt and pepper only to showcase the flavor of the meat well. I just dip it with my favorite sauce when it’s time to dine. Therefore, that’s what we’re going to do today.
1. Prepare all the ingredients needed.
- Enoki Mushrooms
