How I Make Deep-fried Oreos

When I think of carnival food, I think of popcorn, cotton candy and hotdog on stick. In the Philippines, it’s just the usual stuff so sometimes, I dream of going to American carnivals to experience not just the extreme rides, but also, to try the different food finds like Deep-fried Oreos. Yum!

I’ve heard of Deep-fried Oreos before but I got to learn more about this American street food in the “San Diego” episode of the Netflix series, “Fresh, Fried and Crispy”. The owner of Chicken Charlie’s Fair Stand was trying to produce a food that no one has made before. Hence, the origin of Deep-fried Oreos. Mr. Chicken Charlie is also known as “The Man Who Fries Everything”. Apart from Deep-fried Oreos, he also invented Deep-fried Kool-Aid and Deep-fried Salt Water Taffies.

The Deep-fried Oreo is the most achievable to do so we’ll try to make that. After all, it was the most popular munchies in Chicken Charlie’s Fair Stand.
