How To Make Mozzarella Sticks
It’s the 23rd day of quarantine period in our region and it has also been 23 days since our branches of Breen Milk Tea shop last opened. Aside from the zero daily sales, we think about how we could utilize our stocks, especially the ingredients that easily spoil. Before the spread of Covid-19 in our country, we bought two huge blocks of mozzarella cheese as we’re planning to add up mozzarella sticks on our menu. Before we could do so, this virus happened. So these blocks of cheese are all ours now. No one will consume the mozzarella sticks these blocks could make but us. Anyway, this is how we make them.
1. Prepare all the ingredients needed. I didn’t mention the measurements because we just estimated it. It’s actually up to you based on the number of mozzarella sticks you want to cook.
- mozzarella cheese
- spring roll wrapper
- eggs
- bread crumbs
- flour
- salt
- pepper
- oil
2. Cut mozzarella cheese into sticks with half inch thickness.
3. Wrap each sticks with spring roll wrapper. Actually, most mozzarella sticks doesn’t include spring roll wrapper but we make it this way so the mozzarella sticks would be neat. Plus, it adds crunchiness.
4. Beat eggs.
5. Season bread crumbs with salt and pepper for added flavor.
6. Dip sliced mozzarella into flour.
7. Then, bathe them with beaten eggs.
8. Lastly, cover them with bread crumbs.
9. Freeze for 10 minutes so the ingredients would stick together. While doing this, you can turn on your deep fryer to heat the oil.
10. Fry.
11. Your Mozzarella Sticks are now done and ready to be served.
