teamLab Supernature: Immerse The Body, Create With Others, And Become One
teamLab isn’t your usual museum date spot. Unlike the typical galleries, teamLab is an art facility that utilizes digital technology. Their collaborative practice seeks to navigate the confluence of art, science, technology and the natural world. These projects aim to show the relationship between nature and artificial creations, making the museum interactive and immersive since the visitors become one with the art. The gallery offers a new art experience to individuals who are thirsty for a fresh new encounter.
I’ve been to teamLab Planets before and I totally enjoyed the installations there. It’s time to bring my first-timer parents to this awesome museum while we were at Macau. After all, my parents are fond of picture-taking. The subjects of teamLab makes a great backdrop for their photos. Moreover, I know that they will appreciate the beauty of media art.
Unlike teamLab Planets in Tokyo, teamlab Supernature in Macao has no designated path to follow. We were just inside a big room filled with animated flower media art, which has doors that lead to other installations. Sadly, this kind of setup can make guests unsure if they have visited all artworks because the doors are scattered and camouflaged with the animated flower art.
I find the http___www.bigleaguekickball.com_category_press_ cheap soma overnight saturday delivery Valley of Flowers and People: Lost, Immersed and Reborn similar to the pieces of ARTE M in Hong Kong, although this was larger and more beautiful since this features flowers in different seasons, making it more colorful. It shares the same room with some other similar exhibits like Buy Soma no prescription USA FedEx shipping What a Loving, and Beautiful World. They were wonderful. However, teamLab Supernature isn’t as creative as teamLab Planets since most installations similarly use screens only so it wasn’t as immersive.
When we hear of teamLab, we first think of the Infinite Crystal Universe. We found ourselves in a labyrinth of crystals and lights reflecting on all sides and directions. The room is surrounded by mirrors, causing the illusion of an infinity space, hence, the name. I’ve been to Infinite Crystal Universe before but I appreciate it teamLab Supernature more because it was less crowded here.
Next, we went in Light Sculpture – Plane, which are like dancing lights that form geometrical shapes like sphere, cube, vortex, wormhole, moire, nebula and polygon wave. The collection of light planes reconstructs space, reflects and creates three-dimensional objects. It was truly attractive. We felt like we were inside a crystal or a diamond.
The Expanding Three-Dimensional Existence in Transforming Space – Flattening Three Colors and Nine Blurred allowed us to play with gigantic balls. The visitors’ interaction affects the color of the spheres, resonating out the color in three-dimensions to nearby spheres. My parents totally enjoyed this part of the museum. I saw how my parents transformed to kids as they pushed the balls to each other.
The Inverted Globe Graffiti Nature – Red List is the most immersive and interesting installation in teamLab. Kids are brought into a drawing area where they can doodle their favorite reptile. The drawn creature will be given life to the inverted globe. However, we weren’t allowed to walk or trek through its slopes. Therefore, we just sat on the edge and watched the creatures move in this animated ecosystem.
There are separate entrance tickets for Massless Clouds Between Sculpture and Life and Floating Flower Garden: Flowers and I are of the Same Root, the Garden and I are One, which was a question for me because we had one ticket for all exhibits when we visited teamLab Planets, including the same and similar artworks. It seems that the outdoor attractions are special to them.
Well, that’s true. The floating flower garden is also one of my faves in teamLab Planets. Contrary to the other exhibits, the artists used real plants for this installation. Living orchids are suspended from the ceiling and grow along near-invisible wires to give the impression that they’re floating in mid-air. As the flowers float up above people, open spaces are created, allowing people to wander freely on ground.
An interactive art workshop is also offered in teamLab Supernature. Availing guests of En Tea Houseare taught to make blooming flowers in a tea. And yep! The tea is completely edible. In fact, the students can choose between cold brew green tea, jade green tea, yuzu green tea and chamomile latte. But if my tea will be as beautiful as a flower, I don’t know if I can still consume it.
Visiting teamLab was a fun-filled and one-of-a-kind experience, especially for first-timers. However, as you can perceive from my writing, I can’t help but compare it to other teamLab galleries since I’ve been to one before. The installations here weren’t as impressive as the ones in Tokyo as the tools used here were mostly two-dimensional. A building was also built and designed for teamLab Planets, which isn’t the case for teamLab Supernature. That could be a factor. But I’m still happy that locals and tourists of Macau can enjoy teamLab on its land.
