The Floating Temple At The Heart Of Bali
http___www.bigleaguekickball.com_category_press_ soma free overnight fedex delivery The usual itinerary in Bali includes a lot of temples. However, our tour guide, Jick of Be Happy at Bali Tour & Travel, suggested that we must limit our visit to temples to three because in all honesty, we wouldn’t fully enjoy and understand them since we have different culture and religion. We agreed to the idea because it’s a way to maximize our time in Bali. Therefore, we only went to the most interactive and most scenic temples in the island.
Buy Soma no prescription USA FedEx shipping Ulun Danu Beretan Temple, also known as the floating temple, is one of the three temples we visited in Bali. As what it’s name says, it’s famous for the temple itself that beautifully stands in the middle of Lake Beretan, the second largest lake in Bali. Ulun Danu Beratan Temple is one of nine “Kahyangan Jagat Temple” in Bali. That makes it one of the most important temple to Balinese, especially to Hindu.
I personally requested to visit this temple for obvious reasons! As you can see, the place is marvelous. It’s effin’ surreal! In my mind, this structure they call Lingga Petak needs to be on my Instagram feed. Guests can also ride a boat that’ll roam around the Lingga Petak. However, the low tide didn’t allow boats to sail when we came. But having a peak of this iconic temple, with the mountains of Bedugul as a backdrop, is already rewarding.
The temple’s design features a blend of Buddhist and Hindu architecture. We can notice it through this temple named Penataran Agung. The temple is said to be devoted to worship the Tri Purusha Shiva, which are Shiva, Sadha Shiva and Parama Shiva. It has its own uniqueness and beauty. Even non-believers would appreciate the intricate designs of the gate.
While writing this, I just discovered that the compound is divided into five temples. Lingga Petak and Penataran Agung are two of them. I’m sorry I didn’t understand this when I was in Pura Ulun Danu Beretan as I’m not a Hindu. Hence, I wasn’t able to take pictures of the other temples. I guess, I even took photo of an insignificant structure as I can’t find what this is. Nonetheless, I found this hall nice so I took a shot.
When I think of a temple, I’m picturing a huge building or shrine that’s strictly for praying and worshiping. So I was totally surprised to see a temple that is landscaped like a park complete with restaurants, souvenir shops and playground. In fact, there’s a children’s playground inside the compound. It has swings, slides, climbers and the like. That’s awesome for tourists. But I wonder if it still keeps its sacredness in this way.
Nevertheless, I love that the compound looks like a paradise because of the abundance of greeneries and flowers. The tropical flowers are of different kinds and of different colors, making the scenery even more gorgeous. I’m not a fan of flowers, actually, but I find them attractive here. The bueshes are evidently well-maintained. The lawns are beautifully manicured as well.
There is a vast grass field near Lingga Petak for children to run and play and for adults to set up a picnic. With beautiful view of the garden, lake and mountain and the unwinding breeze of fresh air, this place will make your stay fun and memorable, as they say. At the lakefront, there are decorated lookouts and spots for visitors to pose when taking pictures.
As a foodie, the best part of the temple are the restaurants. There are two of them in Ulun Danu Beretan Temple but the abrupt rain led us to take shelter in Ulun Danu Coffee, which is fortunate because we badly need coffee that time. The dining place is a typical al fresco Bali hut, which is relaxing. On the other hand, I heard that the other restaurant, Ulun Danu Restauran, offers western, Indonesian and Chinese style menus.
At Ulun Danu Coffee, my boyfriend and I had Iced Cafe Latte, Cinnamon Roll and Chicken Sandwich. The Iced Cafe Latte was just okay. It has balanced flavor of milk and java. But I couldn’t recognize the notes of the beans. The Chicken Sandwich was yummy, too. It has generous amount of fillings. The chicken is flavorful and crunchy. The Cinnamon Roll lacks that cinnamon touch. It’s quite dry.
Before going home, we tried the gelato store near the playground. The cone is made of thick wafer. I would love it thick if it’s sweet. But it’s too bland so when the ice cream was consumed, I threw the cone away. The bubblegum flavor is too sweet so it doesn’t taste like bubblegum anymore. Mango and strawberry feels more like sherbet than gelato because they’re icy. The fruit flavors are too tangy.
This one’s a photo with our Bali tour guide in Uma Pakel. Let me end this blog with an appreciation block for Jick, our tour guide.
