Top Ten Songs: We Sing And Listen For Him
Like most people do, I listen as I work. While I’m doing my assignments, I’m listening. While I’m waiting for myself to be sleepy, I’m listening. While I’m taking a bath, I’m listening. While doing this article, I’m listening. Everytime I get home from school, its my instinct to open my laptop, choose among my playlists and play it.
I have five playlists – one, which consists latest songs, two, which includes worship songs, three for all OPM songs, four, which is consist of the old songs that are produced when before I was born, and five, which includes instrumental music.
What playlist do you think I choose to play most often? I doubt that you answered it correctly. It’s playlist 2, worship songs. Why? It’s just that they’re the best music that suits my emotions. Btw, here are my top ten songs for worship.
1. Be Happy
When we say worship songs, people, often, describe at as slow or not energetic. Well, you’re wrong about that because “Be Happy” will make you dance. In fact, my classmates and I made steps for this song. This has become one of our section’s theme song.
2. I Love The Lord
I first heard this song during the Responsorial Psalm of my high school graduation mass. After, my friends and I found out that we had LSS on “I Love The Lord”. We wanted to hear the song again and again.
3. Pilgrim’s Theme
“Pilgrim’s Theme” is another song from my high school graduation as the opening song. It’s not the first time that I heard it, but it’s the first time that I appreciated it. Its lyrics and tune just can’t get out of our minds easily.
4. One More Gift
Everyone seeks peace here on Earth. And that is the gift being asked by this song to the Lord. This made me love the song. Its meaning will surely penetrate the hearts of people who’ll hear the song.
5. Here I Am To Worship
“Here I Am To Worship” is the song most sang by the Marian Music Ministry, the choir where I belong. We really admire the way we sing it and how our singing amazingly fits the beautiful noise of the piano.
6. I Will Follow Him
When we had our concert for St. Augustine’s Feast, Sister’s Act’s “I Will Follow Him” was our best performance. We had fun dancing and singing because we love the way the song switches its tempo.
7. I Will Sing Forever
“Mamayedo bap bareva zhiwvapyerap bareya. Hulelebapba. Novara dubapbara.” Marian Music Ministry really enjoy singing “I Will Song Forever” as it blends with the clap of the people who attends the mass.
8. Every Move I Make
Aside from my first in this top ten songs, “Every Move I Make” will also make your body and spirit alive since it is an animation song. For a year, this served as my high school’s morning praise.
9. With All I Am
This song was first introduced to us by our parish priest. I guess this is his favorite song because there was a time when he’ll always let us sing “With All I Am” after the mass. But it’s not only him, some people who attends his mass also started to love the song.
10. Live Jesus In Our Hearts
“Live Jesus In Our Hearts” completes my top ten songs for worship. This song, which is composed by De La Salle University, has become the Lasallian theme song. If you want to learn its steps, you can go to LSPO and SLAs there will help you.
