Wedding At Hiraya Farm Resort
I’m now married!
I’m sure you’ve been expecting this since I posted our prenuptial shoot at Farm Hills Garden in Silang, Cavite last month. Some friends are even assuming that my wedding will be held at Tagaytay because of the theme of our prenup. But we chose to stick at home for this grand event. The ceremony of our wedding took place at my hometown’s parish church, St. Augustine Church. Reception followed at Hiraya Farm Resort, located at my husband’s hometown.
Hiraya Farm Resort is not just a mere events place. It’s a destination for tourists who wants to disconnet from overwhelming and chaotic work life for a while. Hiraya Farm Resort will let you experience both farm life and beach life.
I must say that my husband and I are proud witnesses of how Hiraya grew from their first projects up to how it is today, especially that we are close friends with their past engineer. From time to time, we visit Hiraya when there are new facilities. We spent our Christmas parties there twice. The second time was when their swimming pool was recently opened. When their Mandala Villa was up, we had a staycation one summer. Now, Hiraya has become more significant to our lives because this is where my husband and I shared our forever vows to each other in front of our loved ones.
Apart from our sentimental memories at Hiraya, we chose this farm resort as the venue of our wedding reception honestly and mainly because it provides the greatest deal compared to other events places in our region. Hiraya offers the lowest price relative to the size of their Hiraya Hall, which has a guest capacity of 500 persons, not to mention the spacious parking area. We also had access to their kitchen and toilet facilities. It may not be an air-conditioned hall but its high ceiling and open walls lets the air circulate inside. There’s a standby generator in case of power interruption. The hall has a canopy in front, which we utilized as welcoming area, where we placed our pre-reception snack stations.
Our event stylist is already comfortable working and designing the Hiraya Hall. He was able to transform this sizable hexagonal pavilion into a paradise in autumn season. The motif of our wedding is rustic bohemian. At Hiraya, we were able to feel the ultra-light feel, spirited energy and bewitching glaze of the theme and of the wedding we were visualizing. Our guests were also happy with the outcome.
Included in the hall we rented is an overnight stay in their villa and deluxe room. The Mandala Villa is a two-storey house that has a kitchen and living area and can accommodate four persons. However, we opted to work our retouching sessions and sleep at the deluxe room since it is air-conditioned. After all, it was enough for the two of us. The villa may be ventilated only with fans but it wasn’t hot inside because of the breeze of air from the outside.
Apart from villas, rooms and dormitories, Hiraya is proud to have these native huts as part of their accommodation offerings. Imagine yourself waking up in a simple hut in the middle of nature while the relaxing sound of the ocean nearby calls you. This is the resort’s version of glamping. The rooms aren’t as glamorous as the modern cabins from resorts nowadays but these type of rooms gives the vibe of farm life.
Actually, Hiraya isn’t new to us when it comes to social occasions. For two inconsecutive years, our company conducted Christmas parties with our employees. Our venue during our 2019 Christmas party was in their Amihan Hall since everywhere else in Hiraya was still under construction back then. When their swimming pool was finally up, we went back to Hiraya for our 2021 Christmas Party.
The Amihan Hall is beachside event space that is recommended for more intimate weddings and gatherings as it caters smaller group of guests. I personally like the all-wood finish of the hall as it gives warmth, coziness and natural feels even when decorated. Actually, if Hiraya plans to have an in-house restaurant, Amihan Hall can be a good area for dining. It is al fresco and it has the view of the beach.
Your dream pool party is so possible at Hiraya as you can book the whole pool area for your celebrations! The lagoon-like swimming pool is large and beautifully landscaped. This photo couldn’t give justice. There are multiple cottages and grill areas that surround the pool so the resort is also perfect for outing. In our case, we just availed their biggest poolside cabana. It was big enough for the 15 of us to conduct our company party.
If you to swim in salt water instead, the sea is just a minute away. The beach may not be the picturesque coast with crystal fine sand that we’re usually looking for in a resort but I love how vast the beachfront is. The shore was maintained clean as well as the seawater. It’s no surprise since this part of the sea is also a marine sanctuary. Therefore, guests are definitely rewarded with crisp air and a refreshing view of the sea.
One of my favorite portions of the resort is the fish pond. Just by looking at this photo explains why I am in love with this area. It is simply a wooden hut surrounded by fresh water and healthy green foliage and yet the place screams glamour. What more when the water lilies are in full bloom? I heard that couples can have their dinner dates here.
The thing I love the most about Hiraya is the fact that they’re still close to environment despite of being progressed into a resort. Before the developments, Hiraya is already a farm and it still stays as a farm. I’m glad to know that they grow organic vegetables here. Farm animals like free-range chickens, ducks, cows, goats, horses and pigs are also present in Hiraya. Aside from the fishes in their pond, saltwater fishes and sea turtles are also happy to visit Hiraya’s side of the sea. They make sure that this part is protected from destructive human activities.
I would like to end this story by giving my heartfelt gratitude to the team behind this successful event.
